Hull's full river to Wembley....

Once again this story began on Saterday 17th August 2013 as I was at St Helen's Town Vs Ashton Athletic two other teams were battling in the Extra Prelim Round of the FA Cup 2013/14.


The FA Cup travelled 387 Miles from it's home in Wigan to Airedale Park...



It was here that the journey began and Holmer Green were beaten at home by Ampthill Town FC. Amphill travelled 37.9 miles to Sharpenhoe Road.

 
 
  On 31st August Barton Rovers beat Ampthill 4-0 before travelling 42.2 miles to Honeycroft. In the Prelim Round.

 
 
 
At Uxbridge they won 2-3 and then travelled the 42.2 miles back to their own ground at Sharpenhoe Road.  It was the 1st Qual Round.
 
 
 
 
On Saterday 28th September they drew 0-0 with Boreham Wood and had to travell 32 miles for the reply to Meadow Park. It was the 2nd Qual Round.
 
 
 
At Meadow Park on 30th September Boreham Wood beat Barton Rovers 3-0.  Boreham Wood then had to travel 60.4 miles to Gallagher Stadium. It was the 3rd Qual Round.
 
 
 
 
 At the Gallagher Stadium they beat Maidstone United 0-2.  Then travelled those 60.4 miles back home on 26th September 2013. It was the 4th Qual Round.
 
 
 
At home they beat Heybridge Swifts 1-0 and they stayed at home again on 9th November as they drew 0-0 with Carlise United.  For the replay they travelled a whopping 297 Miles....
 
 
 
 
At Brunton Park Carlise won 2-1 on 19th November 2013.  It was the 1st Round Proper. On 7th December 2013 Carlise stayed at home for the 2nd Round proper as they beat Brentford 3-2.  For the 3rd Round Proper they travelled 70.4 Miles accross to Sunderland.
 

 
At the Stadium of Light they lost to Sunderland 3-1 and it was Sunderland's turn to stay at home.  In the 4th Round proper they beat Kidderminster 1-0 on 25th January 2014.  In the 5th Round Proper they beat Southampton 1-0 on 15h February 2014.  Then on 9th March they travelled 137 Miles to Hull.

  Hull beat Sunderland 3-0, 180 miles from Wembley

 
 Semi Final... Hull beat Sheffield United 5-3 on 13th April 2014

 
This route travelled 1146.5 miles in total and saw 45 goals...
