This is the
Giant Killing Adventure’s first visit to The Lamex Stadium in Stevenage and
this is Stevenage FC’s first match in the Giant Killing Adventure. Previously in the FA Cup they beat Portsmouth
at home 2-1. Stevenage FC plays in
the Sky Bet League One which is 4 leagues higher than tomorrow’s FA Cup
opponents Stourbridge FC. Stevenage FC are in 21st position with 17 points from 19 games.
This is
Stourbridge FC’s fourth match in the Giant Killing Adventure – previously in
the FA Cup they beat Evesham United away 0-3 in the 1st Qualifying Round and then Sutton Coldfield Town at home 3-2 in the 2nd Qualifying Round. I witnessed a fine domineering
performance in the 3rd Qualifying Round against Curzon Ashton as
they knocked the Giant Killing Adventure’s league leaders out of the tournament
3-0. Then they travelled 221 miles up
north to beat Workington AFC 1-3 on a windy rainy afternoon. The Giant Killing Adventure travelled those
221 miles back to Stourbridge to see them beat Biggleswade Town FC 4-1.
Stourbridge
FC plays in the Calor League
- Premier Division. They are currently
in 6th position with 31 points from 17 games. These teams have played each other in the FA
Cup before and Stevenage FC came out on top 3-0 away to Stourbridge FC. Let’s see what the FA Cup decides tomorrow –
1 sleep away.

As you can see, the United Kingdom is massively ahead with 7412 page views so far. They are likely to win unless the United States soccer fans start to love our blog – I’m impressed with 1739 views from the USA. The real competition lies in the ‘Champions League’ spots of 3rd and 4th place. Indonesia stormed into 3rd position over one weekend but hasn’t been consistent since. Germany has been steady and the Ukraine has stormed up the table. We’ll keep a close eye on this next month to see who’s vying for position and to see if any other wildcard countries get a real taste for our blog.
I hope you’ve
enjoyed the extras. Tomorrows Blog guest
will Tim Webster and he will be making his second appearance on The Giant
Killing Adventure (he witnessed Curzon Ashton draw 0-0 with Lancaster City FC
in the 2nd Qualifying Round. We
now wait for Saturday 7th December 2013 – 1 sleep and it’s all
good.
