This is the
Giant Killing Adventure’s second visit to The War Memorial Ground in
Stourbridge. A lot has happened to me since my last report at Stourbridge on 12th
October 2013. ‘The lonely man’s journey of self-pity’ was critically acclaimed
by fan's and friend's as one of my better blog postings and on that day I wasn’t
in a good place due to a relationship break down. But now, things are looking up as I’ve got a
date over the weekend.
A BBC reporter called Rich Williams has asked for my contact details to discuss tomorrow’s game with me. In general the Giant Killing Adventure blog is doing pretty well with almost 9000 page views since its inception on 13th August 2013 - it’s been a fantastic journey so far. Let’s hope it gets better and better.

Let’s get to
business:-
This is Stourbridge FC’s third match in the Giant Killing
Adventure – previously in the FA Cup they beat Evesham United away
0-3 in the 1st Qualifying Round and then Sutton Coldfield Town at home 3-2 in the 2nd Qualifying Round. I witnessed a fine
domineering performance in the 3rd Qualifying Round against Curzon
Ashton as they knocked the Giant Killing Adventure’s league leaders out of the
tournament 3-0. Then they travelled 221
miles up north to beat Workington AFC 1-3 on a windy rainy afternoon. The Giant Killing Adventure is now travelling
those 221 miles back to Stourbridge for tomorrow’s encounter with Biggleswade
Town FC.
This is Biggleswade
Town FC’s first match in the Giant Killing Adventure – previously in the FA Cup
they beat Wingate and Finchley 4-3 in a 1st Qualifying Round Reply
(first tie 0-0). In the 2nd Qualifying
Round they beat Chelmsford City 2-0. In
the 3rd Qualifying Round it was Leatherhead 5-1 and in the last
round they beat Canvey Island 1-0; all these victories have been at home.
Both
these teams play in the Calor League - Premier Division. Stourbridge are currently in 5th position
with 24 points from 12
games; having won their last 9 games in a row. Biggleswade Town FC are in 14th place with 14pt from 11 games. If this was any other competition you would
have to make Stourbridge the favourites as they are at home, in form and a
higher league position. They haven’t
played Biggleswade this season so we’ll have to see what the FA Cup decides
tomorrow – 1 sleep away.

I hope you’ve
enjoyed the extras. Tomorrow's Blog guest
will be a close friend of mine called Zoe.
It will be her first appearance in the Giant Killing Adventure and I’m
sure she’ll add something to the occasion (perhaps tea and sandwiches ;). Saturday 9th November 2013 – 1 sleep
and it’s all good.
